Being a Bubble brand with...Magnus and Mouse


Baby-bedding specialist Magnus and Mouse is returning to Bubble London this season - and, ahead of the show, we've been catching up with co-founder, Isobel Armstrong (she's the one on the right!)... 

 
 
Welcome back, Isobel! Why have you decided to return to Bubble London this season? 

Magnus and Mouse is striving to bring production back to the UK, and we believe that Bubble is a fantastic opportunity to speak to new and exisiting customers about what we're trying to achieve. We had a fantastic experience at the last fair, in terms of both customer reaction to our products, and gaining new and internation customers - and we really value the event as a place to get a feel for new trends and gather feedback on our own collections. 



Do you believe trade shows are important?

Yes, it's great to get out there and meet customers face-to-face. At the last edition of Bubble we made some great new supply, press and photography contacts, as well as meeting new customers and gaining new stockists, who ordered at the fair. 

How are you preparing for Bubble this season? 

We are currently finalising the production of samples of up-coming collections, and we're really excited about offering our customers new products and prints, which will be available exclusively at the show. 


 

And what about your time at the show? How do you get the most out of it? 

Last time we exhibited we took part in Perfect Pitch, and were shortlisted for the Rising Star Award, which meant that we really benefited from some extra show publicity. I hope we may get the opportunity to do Perfect Pitch again, and we will really be making the most of the trend forums, as well as any other seminars that Bubble is putting on this time. We have a great stand location, so I'm sure we'll be making the most of marketing our brand to new faces. 



 

If you could give any advice to brands exhibiting at Bubble for the first time this season, what would it be? 

Try to engage in conversation with everyone who comes on to your stand, and be friendly, not pushy. It's about finding the right retailers to sell your brand in the longer term - so even if people don't buy there and then, they may come back in the months or even years afterwards.
